BBQ Sauce

  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/2 cup tomato paste

  • 1/4 cup molasses or maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons paprika or smoked paprika

  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed or minced

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup whiskey or scotch

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • optional: a few pinches of cayenne pepper

  • optional: 1 tablespoon cumin

  • any cut of chicken you'd like to use (breast, thighs, wings, or a whole bird).


Marinade chicken in sauce for a few hours or overnight, in the fridge. remove from fridge 10-15 minutes before grilling. Set grill on approx. 450 degrees. Grill chicken on both sides until cooked through (until reaches at least 165 degrees). serve immediately.
